THE MAP BELOW SHOW THE CHANGES THAT TOOK PLACE IN THE TOWN AT THE SEASIDE RESORT OF LAGUNA BEACH BETWEEN 1950 AND 1990.



                                       



 

                                       

SAMPLE ANSWER :-
The provided maps represent the development that occurred at laguna beach over four decades between 1950 and 1990.

It is evident that in 1950, there were only beach huts in the central location, replaced by villas in 1970 and ultimately converted into a hotel. A swimming pool adjacent to the hotel was developed in 1990. In the west, sand dunes occupied most of the area which reduced to half in size in 1970. In 1990, landscaped gardens were developed in its place.

Towards the east, a wider and straightened road was constructed in 1970 replacing the narrow track which led to the beach huts in1950. The adjoining area covered by woodland in the east was cleared to create a caravan park in 1970 which was further turned into a car park in 1990. The provision of a surf school was additionally introduced at the beach in 1990.

Overall, the site of laguna beach experienced a sea change and transformed into a site of tourist attraction in 1990.

Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. While others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
