The rendered tabular chart illustrates the statistical data for various types of families living in poverty in Australia during 1999. The figure are measured in percentage.

At a glance, it is apparent that a large number from each household type lived in paucity which cover 11% of all household. Of all the family types, a very high proportion of 21% of sole parents and 19% of singles without children had poor financial circumstances.

Furthermore in case of the other family types,  12% couple with children were broke whereas the proportion of poverty among couples without children reflects about half of this strength. In case of single aged person and couple the proportion of poor families was much lower as compared to other categories, at 6% and 4% respectively.

From the overall analysis, it can be inferred that the percentage of poverty was the highest among sole parents while it was recorded the least in case of aged people.
